We have visited this Park more than once and should mention that our GPS led us to an old back entrance to the Park on our first visit which is a closed fence. The main entrance is directly off 62nd Avenue.

The parking area is good-sized and was relatively empty on our visits during the week. Beginning in a clockwise walk around the Park you will first see a small picnic pavilion near the adaptive outdoor, multi-purpose Gym a covered exercise area with some state-of-the-art equipment.

From there (or the adjacent parking lot) the paved path begins around the L-shaped body of water. The pavement is smooth and level and well suited for wheelchairs and walkers. We have seen turtles and long-legged shorebirds in residence on both of our visits.

On the circuit you will pass the military themed children’s playground, the pavilion, restrooms, the extra-large, multi-purpose sports court and two dog park areas.

And this beautiful Park has more to come including a Memorial Park to honor those fallen heroes from Pinellas Park who gave everything.
